BoatPass is the #1 Boat Club in the world. It is a membership-based Boat Club that gives you access to a fleet of boats and yachts without the hassles or costs of boat ownership. BoatPass is the most flexible Boat Club in the world, with no initiation fees, no cancellation fees and no contract commitment. Members simply pay a monthly fee and can book boat trips as needed, with crew included & fuel for local trips included.†

What is included in the Membership?

Your membership includes access to any private boat within your category for the duration of your booking, complete with a professional captain, gas for local trips, ice, water bottles, taxes, docking fees, and even a steward(ess) in select boats included. Boats in higher categories can also be booked by paying the corresponding one-time upgrade fee.†

How many trips do I get and how long are they?

Your membership can include the number of trips you choose per month. You can customize your membership to include one trip per month, two trips per month, or as many as you need. Unused trips rollover to the next month. Each outing can be 4, 6, or 8 hours long. Additionally, we also offer multi-day yacht journeys worldwide through BoatPass Experiences.†

How does the Passes system work?

Every Membership payment gets you Passes: one, two, three, or as many as you need. Use a Pass to book a trip on any boat in your category and enjoy the flexibility of rollovers: unused Passes continue forward as long as you remain a Member, so you can accumulate and use them later. You may customize your Passes to be good for half-day trips (4-hours), 6-hour trips, or full-day trips (8-hours).†

Can I upgrade, downgrade or pause?

Of course! We are the most flexible boat club in the world. You can upgrade or downgrade whenever you need. And if you will be out of town, you may pause your membership. Of course, there are NO charges while paused.†

How much is the Membership?

You can customize your Membership your way: choose the category, the number of trips you want per month and the duration of your trips. Prices start at $599. Customize your own pricing.

Are there any additional fees?

Accepted Answer

No. As long as you book a boat included in your membership, there are no additional fees. If you want to book a boat in a higher category, you would simply need to pay a one-time upgrade fee.†

Do Passes roll over if I do not use them?

Accepted Answer

Of course. Unused Passes rollover to the next month and do not expire as long as you are a Member. So, you can accumulate and use them later.†

Can I buy more Passes if I run out?

Absolutely. Very simple to do so in the booking system.

Do I have to commit long-term?

No. We are the most flexible boat club in the world: you may cancel your Membership online any time.

Is tipping customary?

Accepted Answer

Tipping is entirely your choice, depending on the level of service you receive. If you do decide to tip, the industry standard is around 10-20%. You can give separate tips to the captain and steward(ess) or give the whole amount to the captain and ask them to share it among the crew. Captains usually accept tips in cash; or via Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp.

How do I book?

Bookings are simple & seamless. Reserve with as little as 3 clicks through our website, our App, or by contacting your dedicated Personal Concierge.

Can I book a boat in a higher Category?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Choose any higher-category boat and simply pay the one-time upgrade fee. Your monthly membership will remain unchanged.

Question 14

How soon or how far ahead can I book?

Accepted Answer

The booking system allows reservations as soon as tomorrow and up to 90 days in advance. If you ever need a same-day booking or a date further out, your Personal Concierge can help you arrange it.

What are the available times to book?

The booking system allows bookings from 9am to 11pm. For trips outside those hours, your Personal Concierge can help you arrange them.

Do you really guarantee availability with no blackout dates?

We are the only boat club in the world that not only guarantees availability, but also the only one that displays live availability for every boat online. We truly have no blackout dates: you can book on any day of the year. Check our live availability of the boats to see exactly which boats are open on any day and at any time. Do you know why no other boat club in the world displays live availability of their boats online? Well… it is because they do not have any availability! Hence, they choose not to show their lack of availability to the world.†

Can I buy extra hours, even while on a trip?

Of course. You can buy extra hours beyond those included in your membership either when making your booking or during your trip. To purchase extra hours during your trip, simply notify your Personal Concierge and they will arrange the payment link for any additional hours you wish to enjoy (subject to availability).

Who can I bring on the Boat?

Accepted Answer

Feel free to invite anyone you choose, provided the capacity of the boat is not exceeded (the capacity of each boat is displayed in the booking system). Family, friends, colleagues, or employees can enjoy the experience without you present on the boat.

Are Pets allowed on the boats?

Accepted Answer

Many of our boats allow pets. Just look for the "Pet-friendly" label in the booking system and choose any of those boats.†

Question 20

What can I bring (or not bring) on the boat?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to bring any food and beverages you prefer. The only exception is red wine, as it can permanently stain the yachts.†

Question 21

What is the trip Cancellation Policy?

Accepted Answer

Your plans can change, and we understand that. That is why we offer a flexible cancellation policy. If you cancel your trip for any reason with more than 7 days notice, you will get your Pass back, no questions asked. If it is within 7 days to 24 hours from your booked trip, get your Pass back by paying a 30% reactivation fee (based on the cost of the trip or equivalent Pass value). You can easily cancel any existing reservation online.†

What happens if there is bad weather?

Your safety and that of your crew will be prioritized. If hazardous weather prevents your boat from sailing (as determined by the Coast Guard or your Captain), we will need to reschedule for a later date. Your Pass will not be affected.†

Can I book a boat for several days?

Yes. Our Members frequently enjoy multi-day yacht adventures to the Caribbean, the Florida Keys, Croatia, Italy, and numerous destinations worldwide. This offering is part of BoatPass Global Experiences (see the next FAQ).†

How does BoatPass Global Experiences work?

Accepted Answer

BoatPass Global Experiences is an exclusive service for our Members that unlocks access to a worldwide fleet of yachts across the Caribbean, Mediterranean and beyond. Pricing for a BoatPass Experiences trip varies based on the destination, yacht, season, and trip length. Tell us your destination, preferred ports of departure/arrival, itinerary, and dates, and we will send you a list of yachts with transparent pricing. Global Experiences trips function as one-time upgrades for our Members.†
